Arsenal has signed Defender Carl Jenkinson from Charlton Athletico for a fee of €1.2m.
Carl was born of a Finnish mother and an English father in Buckhurst Hill in the UK on the 8th of February, 1992 . He is plays as a defender.He has represented both England and Finland at youth international level.
Internationally Jenkinson previously represented England, his country of birth, but later switched to Finland, his eligibility gained through his Finnish mother. He made his competitive international debut in the 2011 UEFA U19 Championship qualification. He scored his first competitive international goal in a 6–2 win against Moldova.
As he has not played a senior international game Jenkinson remains eligible to represent either nation. He has since been unveiled by Arsenal.
